What is Legion Training Systems?

Much like the successful DVD's of the P90X series, Insanity, Pit Workouts, Special Foces workout, all training by Legion Fitness will continue to build on the workouts you are familiar with, along with some additional surprises to keep your muscles "confused". While the core of our workouts are inspired by these programs, additional exercises are implemented from top trainers such as Mark Twight of the 300 Workout. Our goal is to advance your fitness while never repeating a workout so you can get the most from a class. We implore the idea of "semi-private" class structure--small group fitness classes with an instructor leading the workout. The atmosphere is co-ed and friendly--you will find our students are encouraging and helpful, so never be afraid to ask questions of your fellow classmates.

What kinds of classes do you offer?

At a Legion Training Systems, we know one size does not fit all. We offer strength training classes, cardio classes, combat fitness classes, Ladies-only classes, Beginner/Lite classes. Our founder and head instructor, Steve Mansfield is an extreme sports enthusiast. Steve incorperates his varied athlethic experience into his curriculum for all levels of workouts and passes that knowledge on to all our Certified LegionFit Instructors. Do I have to be in great shape to join a Legion Training class?

NO! The reason you join is to get in better shape! In the Legion programs, we will put you in our classes that will increase your current level of fitness, no matter where you are at this point. We are always shooting for superior fitness, but we know we all won't start there. Our goal is to get you fit in a safe manner and that means working with all different levels of fitness. The reason we train is to get better. If we were already in peak condition, we wouldn't need to work out.

How are the Legion Classes structured? Will I be behind the other trainees who have been training? What should I wear?

Our classes are structured to be semi-private. What that means is a small number of people per class with one of our instructors. You will never be behind, because we will always keep you where you need to be class-wise and as you improve, we'll move you up with different workouts. A far as what to wear, we suggest t-shirts, long workout pants or shorts that you won't be self-conscious about when you are on the floor doing crunches, etc. Sneakers are fine as is going barefoot. Always bring water and a towel is suggested.

Does Legion teach Krav Maga or self-defense classes?

No. For Krav Maga in Lexington, Legion recommends Krav Maga Kentucky.
